Jon B. Davis - Chief Meteorologist
Jon B. Davis is chief meteorologist and a member of the risk management team at Chesapeake responsible for monitoring weather conditions around the globe and the inherent relationship to commodity prices.
Before joining Chesapeake during the fall of 2003, Jon worked for Citigroup and it's predecessor companies for 18 years. As chief meteorologist at Citigroup from 1993 to 2003 his responsibilities included monitoring weather conditions and assessing their impact on the energy, agriculture, and other weather sensitive economic sectors.
Davis began his career in New York with E.F. Hutton in 1985 and has held similar positions in the meteorology departments of Shearson Lehman Hutton, Shearson Lehman, Smith Barney Shearson, Smith Barney, Salomon Smith Barney, and finally Citigroup.
During his 18 year career, he has been interviewed by CNBC, CNN, NBC Nightly New, CBS Evening News, and many major written publications.
Davis graduated with a degree in meteorology in 1985 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is considered one of the foremost experts on the relationship between weather/climate and the impact to energy, agriculture and other sensitive sectors.
